Nicole LeBlanc has worked for nearly 15 years as an investment professional in the venture capital industry. Currently she is an investor with 2150, an urbantech and sustainability focused VC based in London & Copenhagen. 2150’s investment thesis focuses on major unsolved problems across what the ‘Urban Stack’, which comprises every element of the built environment, from the way our cities are designed, constructed and powered, to the way people live, work and are cared for. Prior to this Nicole was the Director of Investments and Partnerships for Alphabet’s Sidewalk Labs, an urban innovation company that is setting ambitious goals with developers and cities to build more sustainable, innovative, and equitable places around the world. She led the corporate venture capital strategy focused on urban tech, as well as supporting the development of Quayside, a 12-acre site in Toronto that had hoped to be a global hub for urban development. Before joining Sidewalk she was a Director with both BDC Capital and NBIF, investing and managing a portfolio of 150+ seed stage startups. Nicole is also a founder and investor in, a women led venture fund based in Atlantic Canada aiming to support women as both founders and investors. Nicole began her career as a CPA, including roles as a controller at Ganong Bros, a Canadian family-run confectionery manufacturer that invented the chocolate bar. She stays active in the community through board, advisory and mentorship roles with a number of charities, tech accelerators and venture funds.
